What happened: Aaron Boone will manage the Yankees in 2027 for his 10th season in charge. The continuation was disclosed per source, with @pcaldera first on the news.

Why it matters: The decision locks in dugout continuity entering a winter with infield and bullpen questions. New York enters the offseason with its rotation largely set and relief help expected to top the shopping list. The move follows scrutiny of the club's direction under Boone's tenure, keeping leadership intact for another postseason push.

What to watch: Watch for a formal club announcement covering term and staff. Roster decisions around the infield and bullpen will shape spring training.
