What happened: Donald has returned to the field and is working his way back into football shape. Adam Schefter also said the defensive tackle is not quite ready for game action.

Why it matters: Donald returned on a reported one-year, $20 million deal after more than two years in retirement. The Rams had yet to put him through a full 11-on-11 practice four days before the decision.

By the numbers: The Week 1 trip spans roughly 7,937 miles from Los Angeles to Melbourne.

What to watch: Donald’s next opportunity to play comes when Los Angeles returns home for Monday Night Football in nearly two weeks.
