What happened: The fullback moved onto the active roster after opening the season on the practice squad. Prentice is in his sixth NFL season and was elevated for games on Sept. 14 and Sept. 19 before this move.

Why it matters: The promotion gives Prentice a full roster spot instead of another temporary call-up. It also keeps recent game experience on hand after he appeared in 17 games last season.

What to watch: The next game-day usage will show whether this becomes a steady weekly role. Snap counts on offense and special teams should clarify how large that role is.
