What happened: Adou Thiero drew a “Crash Wallace” comparison during the Los Angeles Lakers’ California Classic game against the Golden State Warriors. The reaction highlighted his physical, disruptive style in transition.

Why it matters: The summer appearance gives Adou Thiero an opportunity to demonstrate his development before the 2026-27 season. His defensive activity and open-court finishing could strengthen his case for a larger role.

By the numbers: Golden State recorded 19 assists against two turnovers in the first half while allowing no points off turnovers.

What to watch: Watch whether Thiero sustains that defensive activity and physicality throughout the Lakers’ remaining summer schedule.
