What happened: Wednesday's SEC availability report listed the junior wideout as out for Saturday's game at Bryant-Denny Stadium, marking his second consecutive absence after he missed last week's 26-10 loss at Tennessee. According to ESPN, Coleman-Williams recently underwent arthroscopic knee surgery to address a meniscus injury.

Why it matters: The Crimson Tide enter the matchup trying to snap a two-game skid after consecutive losses to Georgia and the Volunteers. Without Coleman-Williams stretching coverage vertically in coordinator Ryan Grubb's offense, opposing defenses can compress the field and force Russell into tight windows.

By the numbers: Through six appearances this season, Coleman-Williams leads Alabama in receptions (23), receiving yards (415), and touchdown catches (4). In last Saturday's loss in Knoxville without him, the Crimson Tide offense committed four turnovers and converted 2 of 13 third downs.

What to watch: Receivers Derek Meadows, Rico Scott, and Lotzeir Brooks will handle expanded roles against the Aggies, with Meadows taking on the largest increase in playing time.
