What happened: Alex Sarr and Anthony Gill have been ruled out for Monday's game against the Orlando Magic. Sarr is sidelined by left knee soreness, while Gill will miss the contest due to low back spasms.

Why it matters: The scratches force immediate adjustments to the frontcourt rotation alongside Justin Champagnie, who remains out after right foot surgery. Washington entered the matchup at 3-3 through six games after a 95-79 victory over Charlotte.

What to watch: Tipoff is scheduled for Monday night as both clubs continue early regular-season play.
