What happened: Allisha Gray converted a game-tying basket with just over five minutes remaining in regulation. The score brought the Atlanta Dream level with the Golden State Valkyries midway through the final quarter. Gray's shot capped a prompt rally after Atlanta fell behind early in the second half.

Why it matters: The contest is the first Game 7 in WNBA Finals history, coming after Atlanta forced the decider with an 80-69 victory in Game 6. Golden State had surged ahead behind Gabby Williams, who scored 15 points in the third quarter on three consecutive three-pointers. The winner of the final stretch claims the 2026 WNBA championship.

What to watch: The Dream and Valkyries will decide the championship over the remaining five minutes of regulation.
