What happened: Yahoo Sports carries an analyst argument that Dallas should have moved Kyrie Irving. The position clashes with Dallas stance this summer that Irving was unavailable.

Why it matters: Irving anchors the revamped Dallas core with Cooper Flagg entering 2026-27. His comeback from a 2025 ACL tear shapes preseason rotation plans.

What to watch: Watch Dallas preseason usage and Irving availability ahead of the 2026-27 opener.
