Making her mark 💥 Aneesah Morrow sinks 2 triples for an early 6 points in her first start with @TempoBasketball TOR-W Via @WNBA on X

What happened: Morrow capitalized on the lineup promotion by scoring six quick points against Washington. The Mystics currently lead the Tempo 32-24 in the live contest.

Why it matters: The promotion to the starting five represents an expanded role since Toronto acquired her from Connecticut on July 31. She averages 11.1 points and 9.0 rebounds this season, offering vital production for a struggling roster.

By the numbers: Toronto entered Wednesday at 10-25 overall and mired in an 11-game losing streak. Washington sits at 22-14 and has taken the last three meetings between the franchises.

What to watch: Toronto will look to leverage Morrow's early shooting to erase the ongoing deficit.
