Cleaning the glass has always been Angel Reese's specialty, and last night it came with a side of history ✅ 26 boards m Via @WNBA on X

What happened: A basket with 13.9 seconds remaining gave Angel Reese 11 points and her WNBA-leading 27th double-double. The outing was her 37th appearance of the season.

Why it matters: The single-game benchmark had stood since 2003. The season record fell before the 2026 schedule was complete, leaving room for the total to climb.

By the numbers: Reese's 26 rebounds comprised 18 offensive and eight defensive boards. She exceeded the old game high by 8.3% and the former season record by 1.6%.

What to watch: Reese needs 42 more rebounds to reach 500 before the regular season ends.
