What happened: The linebacker made the takeaway during a preseason game airing on FOX. It followed a two-interception training camp practice on Aug. 4.

Why it matters: The play strengthens Hill's case for a defensive role entering the 2026 season. Preseason snaps remain central to roster and depth-chart evaluations.

By the numbers: Hill recorded 249 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, 17 sacks, eight forced fumbles and three interceptions across three college seasons.

What to watch: Hill's usage in the remaining preseason schedule will show whether the rookie earns a larger role.
