What happened: Andrea Kimi Antonelli finished third in the 62-lap Singapore Grand Prix behind Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. Timing showed four track-limit strikes for Mercedes car No. 12, with monitoring at Turns 2, 7, 16 and 19. The fourth strike at Turn 7 came on an out-lap after a pit stop, so Document 88 ordered lap-time deletions with no five-second penalty.

Why it matters: The call preserved third ahead of Lando Norris in fourth and protected Antonelli's championship lead entering the United States Grand Prix. It revived paddock debate about consistency of track-limit enforcement for a title contender.

By the numbers: Marina Bay top five: Verstappen, Leclerc, Antonelli, Norris, Piastri; Hamilton qualified third and finished sixth. Antonelli cited four times under Appendix L Ch. IV Art. 2(c); Document 88 published 22:53 local. Fourth breach logged 21:09:33 on out-lap, no overtake recorded.

What to watch: Attention turns to the United States Grand Prix and whether the FIA clarifies how out-lap breaches count toward a penalty.
