What happened: Baseball columnist Joel Sherman suggested a potential path for Aaron Judge to regain game readiness if the New York Yankees advance past the Division Series. Sherman floated the idea of Judge playing a few games in the Arizona Fall League, which opened its season on Saturday.

Why it matters: Judge was left off the Yankees' Division Series roster while recovering from a calf strain. Sherman pointed to the precedent set by Jeff McNeil and Kyle Schwarber, who both used late-fall reps to prove their health for deep postseason runs following injuries.

What to watch: The Yankees must first advance past the Division Series without their captain. If they do, the Fall League could provide a controlled environment to test his calf in live game action.
