What happened: Arvell Reese discussed the leverage and technique details shaping his play early in the 2026 season.

Why it matters: That focus matters for a linebacker adjusting to NFL speed after going No. 5 overall out of Ohio State in April. Reese has already surfaced in early rookie-award chatter, so technical refinement remains part of the story around his start.

By the numbers: Reese was the No. He was nominated for Week 3 Rookie of the Week after a 12-tackle performance that included nine solo stops, one tackle for loss and one pass deflection.

What to watch: The next marker is whether that technique work carries into another productive defensive outing as October begins.
