What happened: The 17-year-old operates as a defensive midfielder with Finland youth international status. The move is lined up under the U-22 initiative with remaining mechanics still to be settled. Arrival is slated for January.

Why it matters: A U-22 slot allows Austin FC to add youth depth with limited senior-roster impact. January timing puts the midfielder in line for a full preseason integration.

What to watch: Watch for a finalized agreement and confirmation of the roster designation.
