RT @realapp: Azzi Fudd has the most steals + blocks by a guard in their first 20 career games since 1997. https://t.co/y

What happened: Azzi Fudd recorded more combined steals and blocks through her first 20 career games than any WNBA guard since 1997. Her early defensive production has established a new benchmark for guards.

Why it matters: The milestone highlights Fudd’s impact beyond scoring during her first WNBA season. Her ability to generate turnovers and protect the rim adds uncommon defensive value at guard.

By the numbers: Fudd reached 50 combined steals and blocks within her first 20 career games, the highest total by a WNBA guard over that span since the league’s inaugural 1997 season.

What to watch: Fudd’s defensive production bears watching as her rookie season progresses and the sample grows beyond 20 games.
