Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner were dialed in as they each dropped 20+ points in a preseason W. 🙌 https://t.co/SxHoIBia Via @NBAonNBC on X

What happened: Paolo Banchero posted 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists on 10-of-13 shooting. Franz Wagner added 20 points, eight assists and two steals on 7-of-10 shooting as Orlando hosted Cleveland in its third preseason date, days after Wagner fed Banchero for a slam.

Why it matters: The efficiency gives Orlando an early marker for its lead pairing ahead of the 2026-27 tip. Sustained joint creation would settle the half-court offense without adding new rotation pieces.

By the numbers: Banchero: 24 PTS, 8 REB, 3 AST, 10-13 FG, +19. Wagner: 20 PTS, 8 AST, 2 STL, 7-10 FG, 79 TS%.

What to watch: Orlando continues preseason play ahead of the 2026-27 tip. The next outing shows whether the pairing keeps the same usage and shooting split.
