What happened: The team classified Caleb Banks’ and Christian Darrisaw’s absences as scheduled off nights.

Why it matters: Darrisaw has drawn praise for his camp, while Banks entered Minnesota as April’s No. 18 overall pick. The planned rest gives both linemen a workload break during the preseason.

What to watch: Their participation in the next practice will show whether both return immediately after the scheduled break.
