What happened: Williams will miss Week 4 with a hamstring injury after sitting out practice all week. Ben Johnson said Friday he is comfortable with either Tyson Bagent or Case Keenum and declined to name a starter.

Why it matters: Chicago now has to build Week 4 around backup quarterbacks with Williams already dealing with the same hamstring issue. Keenum's Monday night win over the Eagles and Bagent's recent first-team work give Johnson two distinct options as the Bears settle on a plan.

By the numbers: Williams did not practice this week and was officially listed doubtful on Sept. 29. Keenum is in his 14th NFL season, while Bagent is in his fourth.

What to watch: The Bears' inactive list should clarify the quarterback plan on game day. Williams' practice status next week will be the next marker for his availability.
