What happened: Chicago gave Bagent most of the first-team reps this week before the reported call for Sunday's game. The move follows mounting signs over the last 48 hours that the Bears were preparing a quarterback change.

Why it matters: The decision would settle Chicago's quarterback plan after Caleb Williams was listed as doubtful with a hamstring pull in prior Wire Report coverage. It also comes against a Jets roster Wire Report reported would be missing four starters, putting more weight on Chicago's quarterback management.

What to watch: Watch for Chicago's official game-day inactive list and pregame quarterback confirmation Sunday. Any late change would reset the Bears' plan against New York.
