What happened: Pete Thamel reported Jared Curtis will miss Saturday's SEC game after Vanderbilt listed him questionable all week with an undisclosed injury suffered in the 21-15 loss at Auburn. Berlowitz spent the week taking more quarterback reps after briefly exploring a move to wide receiver, and he has completed 14 of 25 passes for 178 yards this season.

Why it matters: The switch puts Vanderbilt's offense in backup hands against a Georgia team that enters 4-0 and 2-0 in SEC play. Curtis had been named the full-time starter before Week 3 against NC State, so the change lands in the middle of conference play for a Commodores team at 3-1 and 0-1 in the league.

By the numbers: Curtis is 63-for-98 for 746 yards and four touchdowns through four games, with 133 rushing yards on 41 carries. Berlowitz has added 50 rushing yards on 13 carries. Georgia enters 4-0 overall, while Vanderbilt is 3-1.

What to watch: Kickoff is set for 11:45 a.m. CT on SEC Network. Any update on Curtis after the game will shape Vanderbilt's quarterback plan for its next SEC outing.
