What happened: Chicago Blackhawks will continue Assists for Change for the 2026-27 season. Each Blackhawks assist triggers a $125 donation from USG Corp to Marillac Saint Vincent. The funds target food insecurity on Chicago's West Side.

Why it matters: The program ties on-ice production to neighborhood aid during the regular season. It gives every assist a direct community return beyond the standings.

What to watch: Donations will accumulate with each assist through the 2026-27 season.
