What happened: Portland Trail Blazers head coach Tiago Splitter stated he's 'trying to be a pro' in response to reports that new owner Tom Dundon has begun interviewing candidates to replace him. The comments came after Dundon's recent purchase of the franchise. Splitter, a former NBA champion as a player, was promoted to head coach last season.

Why it matters: Coaching instability could further disrupt a rebuilding Blazers team sitting near the bottom of the Western Conference. Dundon's track record of aggressive moves with the Carolina Hurricanes suggests potential for quick changes impacting roster and strategy.

What to watch: Monitor for official announcement on Splitter's status or new coaching hires. Watch Blazers' next games for lineup clues.
