ROSTER MOVES: 🔹 LHP Brendan Cellucci selected to the Major League roster and will be active tonight 🔹 RHP Matt Waldr Via @BlueJays on X

What happened: Cellucci joins the major league active roster ahead of Wednesday's contest. The corresponding transaction removes Waldron from the 40-man.

Why it matters: Waldron's tenure in Toronto concludes just two weeks after being claimed off waivers from San Diego. The pitching staff secures a fresh arm by giving the rookie an opportunity.

By the numbers: Cellucci recorded a 3.68 ERA across 39 appearances for Triple-A Buffalo this season. Waldron surrendered five earned runs over 4 1/3 innings, finishing his stint with a 10.38 ERA in four outings.

What to watch: The front office has seven days to trade, release, or pass the knuckleballer through outright waivers. Cellucci is available in the bullpen immediately.
