What happened: Yahoo Sports floated Toronto as a landing spot for a two-time MLB All-Star infielder as the Blue Jays move from a lost September into offseason roster work. The link adds another infield angle to a club that spent late September shuffling pieces and looking ahead to 2027.

Why it matters: Toronto's infield construction is now part of the bigger repair job after a year that fell short of expectations. Any real pursuit would extend the same Blue Jays trade-rumor attention that followed the club through the summer.

What to watch: Watch for Toronto's first confirmed infield move once the postseason market begins to open. That will show whether the front office wants a short-term patch or a broader roster reset.
