"I love the game more than ever." - Devin Booker Training Camp presented by @Verizon https://t.co/FtVMnAko6y Via @Suns on X

What happened: Booker delivered the line as training camp got underway for the 2026-27 season. It came a day after he debuted a new jersey number and less than three weeks before the Oct. 21 opener against Portland.

Why it matters: A steady camp start matters for a lead scorer heading into a new season, especially with preseason work about to shape rhythm and usage. The comment also extends a week of small but notable changes around Booker as he heads into his 12th NBA campaign.

By the numbers: Booker is entering his 12th NBA season, and the regular season opens Oct. 21.

What to watch: The next marker is how much Booker appears in preseason action before the opener against Portland.
