What happened: Nashville Predators forward Mavrik Bourque and defenseman William Trudeau left Thursday's preseason game at Montreal and will not return. Both players are dealing with upper-body injuries.

Why it matters: The dual injuries challenge Nashville's lineup depth as the regular season approaches. Bourque joined the Predators in an offseason trade.

What to watch: The team has not yet provided a recovery timeline for either player.
