We've signed OL Brant Banks to the practice squad and released OL Marquis Hayes We've also released LB Mykal Walker wit Via @nyjets on X

What happened: Banks replaces Hayes in the reserve offensive-line group after spending the summer on another NFL roster. Mykal Walker had been dealing with a calf injury in training camp, while Dominic Richardson hurt his elbow in the preseason finale.

Why it matters: Hayes’ practice-squad stay lasted four days after he signed Aug. 31. Walker’s departure ends a stint that began with his re-signing in March, while Richardson leaves 11 days after joining.

By the numbers: Banks is listed at 6-foot-7 and 306 pounds. Hayes played more than 20 snaps in each of the three preseason games.

What to watch: Banks’ work in practice will determine whether he enters the game-day depth picture.
