What happened: The Milwaukee Brewers publicly celebrated Garrett Mitchell, singling him out for praise in a team message to fans. The shout-out lands during a stretch in which Mitchell has been one of the club's most productive bats.

Why it matters: Mitchell's continued production matters for a Brewers lineup leaning on him to drive the offense through the summer. Sustained output from him strengthens Milwaukee's position in a tight NL Central race.

By the numbers: Mitchell has been raking, posting a 1.003 OPS since mid-May, among the best marks on the roster over that span.

What to watch: Watch whether Mitchell keeps carrying the offense and how the Brewers continue to build around his production down the stretch.
