What happened: The English club reportedly met a €2.5 million release clause to acquire the international prospect. The proposed transfer agreement will keep him at Ashton Gate for the next four years.

Why it matters: The addition bolsters the backline for a Bristol City squad that recently extended forward Sam Bell. Securing the 21-year-old represents a significant defensive investment ahead of the upcoming 2026 season.

What to watch: The transfer remains pending a formal medical evaluation. An official club announcement is expected in the coming days.
