Broncos, Ben Powers agree to restructure that cuts 2026 cap hit

The guard enters the final year of a $52 million deal

What happened: Powers will take a lower base salary in exchange for increased guaranteed money. He signed his four-year contract with Denver in 2023 after four seasons with Baltimore.

Why it matters: The savings give Denver more flexibility to carry cap room into 2027 and plan around a potential Bo Nix extension. Alex Palczewski is expected to challenge Powers at left guard after signing a two-year extension.
