A few nuggets from the Broncos heading into tonight: - If the Broncos are going to run the ball better, which they feel Via @JamesPalmerTV on X

What happened: Entering tonight's scheduled game, Denver wants quarterback Bo Nix to remain in the pocket so route concepts can develop while also trusting his recovered ankle as a runner, per James Palmer. Offensively, the Broncos are looking for stronger offensive line push in the run game while getting solid early play from tight end Evan Engram and receiver Troy Franklin.

Why it matters: Nix bailing out of the pocket early has kept secondary reads like Franklin from getting targeted even when open. On defense, Denver continues to feel the absence of Jonathon Cooper against the run and as a pass-rush complement to Nik Bonitto, while linebackers Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad have stepped up.

What to watch: Denver plans to bracket Jaxon Smith-Njigba tonight while Pat Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga target potential returns against the Kansas City Chiefs.
