What happened: Tom Bogert reported Bryce Duke is set to sign in Australia after his stint with San Diego FC. Duke, 25, previously spent multiple seasons with CF Montréal and has made 140 MLS appearances in total.

Why it matters: The move sends an experienced MLS midfielder out of the league after a brief stop in San Diego. It also gives Duke his first move abroad while taking a 25-year-old with a sizable top-flight sample off the MLS board.

By the numbers: Duke is 25 and has logged 140 MLS appearances across his time in the league, with most of that run coming at CF Montréal before joining San Diego FC.

What to watch: The next step is formal confirmation of the move and Duke's registration in Australia. San Diego FC's follow-up roster decisions will show how the club plans to replace that midfield experience.
