What happened: Young opened the Sunday night slot on NBC with efficient timing. The early score marked his first touchdown throw of the night.

Why it matters: The fast start follows a three-touchdown, no-interception outing on Sept. 20. Sustained efficiency matters for Carolina as it seeks stability from the 2023 No. 1 overall pick out of Alabama.

What to watch: Watch whether the early timing holds through the second half.
