What happened: The Milwaukee Bucks are finalizing a deal to hire Taylor Jenkins as their new head coach, sources tell ESPN's Shams Charania and Ramona Shelburne. Jenkins served as a Bucks assistant in 2018-19 before leading the Grizzlies for six seasons. Recent x_search confirms Bucks fired Doc Rivers last week after a first-round playoff exit.

Why it matters: Jenkins brings proven playoff experience, reaching three postseasons in Memphis amid Giannis Antetokounmpo's prime years. The hire stabilizes Milwaukee's coaching search after a disappointing 2025-26 season.
