What happened: Golden State claimed the final semifinal berth after a deciding game that had Dallas ahead 44-37 at halftime. Burton had already appeared in earlier swing moments of the series, including a deep fourth-quarter 3 in Game 2 and a left-side and-1 in the decider.

Why it matters: Short first-round series often turn on a few possessions, and Burton kept landing in them. That carries added weight with the bracket down to the semifinals, where backcourt activity can swing a game even without a huge scoring total.

What to watch: Semifinal play starts Sunday. The next question is whether Burton can keep generating extra-possession moments deeper into the bracket.
