What happened: The third-year quarterback extended play action for Chicago during Thursday's regular-season meeting with the Patriots on Prime Video. Earlier in the contest, Williams and Burden III connected to spark another Bears offensive drive while Drake Maye and Rhamondre Stevenson moved the chains for New England.

Why it matters: Chicago prioritized Williams' physical recovery ahead of the Thursday kickoff following a compressed preparation window, per Palmer. Sustaining his pocket mobility remains central to the Bears' passing attack after he briefly went down in pain earlier this season.

What to watch: Chicago and New England conclude the Thursday night prime-time broadcast before entering an extended recovery window ahead of their next regular-season matchups.
