What happened: New Orleans Saints veteran defensive end Cam Jordan used a single word to describe safety Lorenzo Styles Jr. The longtime defender called the rookie 'fast' during an appearance on Good Morning Football.

Why it matters: The rookie's speed was a defining trait during the pre-draft process, leading to his selection in the fifth round. Styles provides New Orleans with a dynamic athlete in the secondary as the team prepares for the 2026 season.

By the numbers: Styles recorded a 4.27-second 40-yard dash at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine before the Saints drafted him 172nd overall.

What to watch: New Orleans will evaluate the rookie's progress as the roster takes shape ahead of training camp.
