What happened: The Vancouver Canucks traded forward Aatu Raty to the Toronto Maple Leafs after his stint on waivers. Toronto sent two forwards back, including Brandon Buhr.

Why it matters: Raty first moved to Vancouver from the New York Islanders in the deal for Bo Horvat, now the Islanders captain. Toronto adds a former Islanders prospect to its organization while Vancouver converts the roster spot into forward depth.

What to watch: Toronto will determine Raty's role within its system. Vancouver will integrate its new forwards into its depth group.
