What happened: The Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a trade to deal Marvin Harrison Jr., with the Houston Texans emerging as the expected landing spot. The teams will announce the official destination following the Week 5 slate. Harrison will be inactive for the Cardinals' home game against the Detroit Lions to preserve his health as negotiations conclude.

Why it matters: A move to Houston would provide quarterback C.J. Stroud a new target to address a receiving room that has leaned on Kayshon Boutte following a preseason ACL tear for Jayden Higgins. The Texans' receivers currently hold the highest contested catch rate in the NFL by a wide margin. In Arizona, Harrison saw his role reduced as Trey McBride and Michael Wilson emerged as superior options in the offense.

By the numbers: Harrison caught 41 passes for 608 yards during the 2025 season and ranks 36th among 94 qualified receivers with an 8% drop rate on catchable passes over his career. Stroud completed 273 of 423 passes for 3,041 yards and 19 touchdowns across 14 games with the Texans in 2025.

What to watch: An official announcement regarding the trade is expected after this weekend's games. The Cardinals will proceed with McBride and Wilson leading their passing attack.
