What happened: The right-hander added a relief milestone nearly a year after earning his first MLB win.

Why it matters: The save expands Seymour's major-league résumé after earlier work as both a starter and reliever.

By the numbers: Before the save, Seymour had a 4.96 ERA and 13 strikeouts over 16⅓ innings in nine 2026 appearances.

What to watch: His next assignments will show whether more late-inning work follows.
