What happened: The Titans said the weekend accident in Tennessee left Gray with a concussion and minor injuries. Turron Davenport reported that neither reckless driving nor alcohol was involved.

Why it matters: Gray's absence would remove last season's leading tackler from the middle of Tennessee's defense. NFL rules bar contact practice and game action until team doctors and an independent neurological consultant clear him.

By the numbers: Gray started 16 games in 2025, led Tennessee with 160 tackles and ranked fifth in the NFL. He missed one game after a December concussion before clearing protocol 12 days after the injury.

What to watch: Tennessee's injury reports will show whether Gray advances through the protocol before Sunday.
