What happened: Kansas City activated practice squad linebacker Cole Christiansen via standard elevation. Christiansen is in his second NFL season out of Army and had also been elevated on Sept. 19 and Sept. 26.

Why it matters: The repeat move suggests Christiansen has settled into a recurring game-week depth role. Back-end roster decisions like this can shape weekly availability even when they do not alter the top of the depth chart.

By the numbers: Christiansen has now been elevated three times since Sept. 19. Per ESPN, he made 2 tackles in 3 games with the Chiefs in 2025.

What to watch: The next step is whether Christiansen is active on game day and whether Kansas City makes any other late roster moves this weekend.
