What happened: C.J. Gardner-Johnson was ejected from Sunday's game after spitting at Brock Bowers. The league is reviewing the incident for further discipline.

Why it matters: Spitting is treated as a conduct violation separate from ordinary physical play. Further discipline would carry availability and financial consequences beyond the ejection.

What to watch: The disciplinary decision will determine whether Gardner-Johnson faces a fine or missed time.
