What happened: Collin Gillespie has signed a contract extension that keeps him in Phoenix for years to come, per the report. The former Villanova standout, who reached the NBA as an undrafted guard, secures his place in the franchise's plans rather than testing the open market.

Why it matters: The extension locks in backcourt depth and rewards a development success story, giving Gillespie long-term security heading into the 2025-26 season. It continues the path set when his four-year deal first tied his future to Phoenix.

What to watch: Watch for how Phoenix finalizes its guard rotation and remaining roster moves ahead of the 2025-26 season.
