What happened: Gushiken signed with Philadelphia as an undrafted free agent in May and spent the offseason program and training camp with the Eagles. Tenuta appeared in four games for Indianapolis in 2025 after spending time on both its active roster and practice squad.

Why it matters: The move adds a defensive back as NFL teams finalize their rosters ahead of the 2026 season. Tenuta’s release removes a tackle with seven career NFL appearances.

By the numbers: Gushiken played 59 college games and totaled 181 tackles, 34 passes defensed and five interceptions across Saddleback College, Washington State and Mississippi.

What to watch: Gushiken’s role will come into focus when Indianapolis begins preparations for Week 1.
