What happened: Washington goes into Sunday with Marcus Mariota lined up for another start after Jayden Daniels was ruled out Friday. Daniels had carried a questionable tag earlier in the week before Washington made the change official.

Why it matters: Quarterback changes reshape a game plan and can shift expectations late in the week once a starter is removed from the board. Mariota taking the offense again leaves Washington in a backup-led setup entering the weekend.

What to watch: Watch whether Washington's underdog status moves again closer to kickoff. Mariota's second straight turn will shape how much of Daniels' absence carries into next week.
