What happened: Sean Sharaf knocked out Gable Steveson 12 seconds into their heavyweight bout on the UFC 331 main card at crypto.com Arena. Daniel Cormier then criticized Steveson for leaving the cage before Sharaf's hand was raised.

Why it matters: The stoppage turned a featured heavyweight slot into one of the night's biggest talking points almost instantly. Cormier's comments extended the fallout beyond the result itself and shifted attention to Steveson's postfight exit as well as the knockout.

What to watch: Steveson's response will determine whether the sportsmanship debate carries past fight night. Sharaf's next matchup should draw more attention after the quickest finish on the main card.
