What happened: Per Jeremy Fowler, one team executive said a Josh Sweat move to Dallas makes sense ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline. Dallas hosts Arizona next Sunday afternoon. Sweat has also been linked to Green Bay, where Micah Parsons is expected back eventually.

Why it matters: Dallas sits below .500 but remains in reach in a weak NFC East with Philadelphia in transition. Cowboys need edge-rush help after the Joey Porter Jr. addition left 2027 draft capital thin. Arizona won Sunday but is not positioned as a contender.

By the numbers: Sweat had 30 tackles and 12 sacks in 17 games in 2025. Parsons had 41 tackles and 12.5 sacks in 14 games in 2025.

What to watch: Watch Sunday's Cardinals-Cowboys game and whether Dallas strings wins together before Nov. 10. Any Sweat talks would hinge on price and 2027 pick maneuvering.
