What happened: The Dallas secondary took a hit when Joey Porter Jr. was sidelined for the primetime matchup. Tampa Bay went on to secure a 24-16 victory over the Cowboys without the defensive back available.

Why it matters: Porter joined the Cowboys this season after beginning his career as a second-round pick by the Pittsburgh Steelers. His unexpected absence thinned the cornerback rotation in the eventual home defeat.

By the numbers: During the 2025 season with Pittsburgh, Porter recorded 52 tackles, one sack and one interception across 14 games.

What to watch: Dallas will monitor Porter's recovery as the team prepares for its next regular-season matchup.
